  • Title:Associate professor

Department:Dept. of Geophysics and Planetary Science and Technology

    Research interests:

Studying elastic properties of candidate minerals in the mantle using Brillouin scattering technique to constrain mineral composition of the mantle.

Studying elastic properties of minerals existing in the subducting slabs to constrain the dynamical interaction between the slabs and surrounding mantle.

Studying effect of minor minerals on elastic properties of minerals.

Calibrating water concentration in the nominally anhydrous minerals using Infrared spectropy and Secondary Ion Mass spectroscopy.
